Two views reveal two sides of the same person. From one position she appears composed and elegant; from the other, she becomes more dynamic, intimate and personal.
The Light She Keeps is about identity as something layered rather than fixed. Neither image is more true than the other: both exist at once, and the viewer’s position determines which version comes forward.
Installation & Viewing:
This sculptural artwork is designed to be experienced at a considered eye-level height. When installed at its intended height, its distinct painted views are activated as the viewer moves around the piece. Once purchased, specific installation instructions can be provided to ensure the artwork is displayed at its optimal viewing height.
