About the Artwork:
Walls That Talk explores graffiti as a language: a voice for those unheard, a coded message shared by a particular community, or a truth that everyone sees but nobody wants to name.
Built as two paintings within one hand-constructed wood artifact, the image changes with the viewer’s position. What is visible from one side becomes obscured or transformed from the other, reflecting the hidden conversations and unspoken realities carried by the city’s walls.
Installation & Viewing:
This sculptural artwork is designed to be experienced at a considered eye-level height. When installed at its intended height, its distinct painted views are activated as the viewer moves around the piece. Once purchased, specific installation instructions can be provided to ensure the artwork is displayed at its optimal viewing height.
